EPA Lead Renovator Certification Refresher Course
Instructor: Brandon Holmes, ZOTA Professional Training
If you previously took an EPA Lead Renovator Initial course, check your expiration date! It may be time for you to take a mandatory refresher course. The EPA Lead Certification Renewal Course is designed for compliance with the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule. Anybody who performs work in housing, schools or daycares older than 1978 must have current lead renovator certification. Individuals and companies that do not recertify and let their EPA Lead Renovator Certification expire could face fines of up to $37,500 per day, per infraction. EPA-approved initial Renovator Certification for lead-safe work practices is valid for five years. Individuals who fail to attend an EPA lead certification renewal course prior to expiration are required to retake the initial course to recertify.
