Minnesota Residential Building Code and Energy Code Questions & Answers 

Instructor: Peter Kulczyk, Green Code Knowledge

This course, in a “Question & Answer” format, will focus on remodeling, additions, residing, reroofing, replacement windows, interior modifications, and fire damage, along with some of the unique code issues related to new construction. This program is based on the 2015 Minnesota Residential Code (2012 International Residential Code), the 2015 Residential Energy Code (2012 International Energy Conservation Code) and Minnesota-specific amendments.

Peter Kulczyk

Peter Kulczyk has three decades of extensive experience in the construction and building codes industry as an author, educator and expert in residential building codes, energy codes and green building practices. His past experience includes working on staff with the International Code Council, as an Instructor with the State of Minnesota Building Code Division, as a municipal Building Inspector and in various positions with residential and commercial construction companies in Minnesota. Peter is certified by the International Code Council as a Building Inspector, Plans Examiner, and Green Building-Residential. He is also certified by the State of Minnesota as a Certified Building Official and Certified Instructor.
