The Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) overall mission is to help our member businesses grow through marketing, advocacy and industry connections. Contractor University’s mission is to provide timely and relevant information to contractors and suppliers so that they may meet their continuing education requirements, and develop and apply the knowledge, skills and values to provide the highest quality of service to their clients.
· Live courses: No refund/exchanges unless cancellation is made by noon the day before the class.
· Online courses: Only eligible for a refund within 30 days of purchase, and only if the course or class has not been completed. Refunds are subject to a $30 administrative fee.
· Live courses: Unless otherwise stated (such as specialty courses that may be priced differently), the cost is $14 per credit hour.
· Online courses: Online courses are $12 per credit hour for BATC members and $14 per credit hour for non-BATC members.
Course completion requirements:
· Live courses: Students will register on-line where information is collected including their name, address, phone number, e-mail, and license number. Students are required to sign-in as they arrive. Student will not be issued course credit if there is no signature on the sign-in sheet. Student is required to attend the entire class to earn course credit. Class is monitored by the approved BATC/Contractor University coordinator. If a student leaves classroom prior to the completion of the course, course credit will not be earned. Student name and license number will be verified when entering course credit.
· Online courses: Student must complete the entire online course and successfully answer 70 percentage of the exam questions.
BATC and Contractor University collect data about your activities that does not personally or directly identify you when you visit our websites, the website of entities for which we serve advertisements (our “Advertisers”), or the websites and online services where we display advertisements (“Publishers”). This information may include the content you view, the date and time that you view this content, the products you purchase, or your location information associated with your IP address. We use the information we collect to serve you more relevant advertisements (referred to as “Retargeting”). We also collect information about where you saw the ads we serve you and what ads you clicked on.
We also occasionally collect other personal information, but only via “opt-in” and only with your permission such as via information and items of value we offer (newsletter, etc.) in exchange for some of your personal information such as an email address, name, etc.
Our Overriding Privacy Sentiment: While we do occasionally send information on behalf of our sponsors and members that we feel you might be interested in, our commitment is: We NEVER sell or otherwise share any information about you without your explicit consent.
We also ALWAYS offer you an easy opt-out.
How we gather information and serve our advertising and promotional messages to you: BATC/Contractor University may target ads based on data provided by Advertisers or partners alone or in combination with the data we collect ourselves. Any data used to serve targeted advertisements is de-identified and is not used to personally or directly identify you. We require third parties, including Publishers, to provide notice and obtain appropriate consent, where required by applicable law.
Third Parties on our Websites and Our Members & Advertiser’ Websites: In order to allow BATC/Contractor University to reach the best inventory online, we work with third party advertising companies (our “Advertising Partners”) to help us recognize you and serve relevant advertisements to you when you visit a website or online service in their network. We also work with Advertising Partners who help us recognize you across different devices in order to show you relevant advertisements. Our Advertising Partners may collect information about your activities on our website, our Advertisers’ websites, and other websites or online services in their networks. We also work with third party companies to assist us with website analytics such as evaluating the use and operation of our website so that we can continue to enhance the website and our services.

We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption; we enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files; and we authorize access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfill their job responsibilities. All credit card information is encrypted with 128-bit SSL encryption before it is transmitted across the network. However, no security system is foolproof and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.
